TEMPLARS BARN OPEN DAY | BERKSHIRE
On Saturday 20th February I was asked to participate in the open day at Templars Barn, Hungerford, to take some photographs of the event. It was a great day, even if the weather was a little drizzly. The team there bought some sunshine to the day and created a fantastic environment for the potential couples to look around the beautiful barn. Surrounding the barn are rolling fields and countryside giving any couples day a secluded and personal feel as well as many spectacular photo opportunities. Obviously, this is something that is always on my mind when visiting venues.
There were some hand picked suppliers of various wedding services taking part in the day so that the couples could get some recommendations from the venue and hopefully get a head start with planning. Speaking from experience, recommendations are invaluable to any couple planning their wedding day. Personally, I didn’t have this luxury when planning my wedding due to having it in my in laws garden and I wish that I had.
The Wild Fork provided hot and cold refreshments, including some bubbles, and home made cookies for all couples and guests which went down a treat! They also displayed a beautifully dressed table to show the couples what their day could look like. It also helped to visualise how much space there was for tables, dance floor and the must have bar. Adorning the table were some fresh and bright spring bloom floral arrangements that definitely brightened up the barn, by The Wessex Flower Company. Templars Barn also recommends Cakes by Cocochoux, who are based in Kintbury, and they provided a beautiful ivory iced cake with bright pink floral decorations and piping details.
Beautiful string music filled the air for most of the open day, provided by West Berkshire Strings, organised by Pat Glover. After enjoying the music, drinks and nibbles the couples left with a goody bag with sweets and the relevant literature from all the suppliers represented at the open day.
